We are well aware of the benefits of exercise for the general population, these same benefits also apply to the pregnant woman. It is in a trainer’s best interest to manage their pregnant clients well, so that they return once the baby is born to get back in shape, and also prepare for any subsequent pregnancies. Therefore it is important to have a sound knowledge base to best serve the client and help maintain their optimal health. No two pregnancies are the same; many are uncomplicated however some encounter complications. This means a sound knowledge base is essential and will help to manage not only the straightforward client but the more complex one as well. Appropriate exercise prescription is rewarding for both the client and trainer.

It's in a trainer’s best interest to have a sound knowledge base in order to develop, establish, and be able to modify an excellent postnatal programme. The aim of the programme is to maintain the mother's optimal health after the birth of her baby. Once the baby is born, a mother is usually keen to regain her shape, strengthen her abdominal, back and deep core muscles to help deal with the increased physical activity related to the care of her new baby, and also prepare for any subsequent pregnancies. A thorough understanding of the changes that have occurred to a woman’s body and mind, during pregnancy, and after the delivery of her baby is essential. These changes, which are specific to every woman, guide the trainer in developing an optimal personalised exercise programme and manage not only the straightforward client but the more complex one as well.

This course draws the best from the Dietary Guidelines (DGs), reviews topics covered in subjects such as the introduction to meal and menu planning, and uses food groups and dietary diversity measures so that you can support clients in their healthy eating. Of course the DGs can seem a little limited, in fact, it's all in the way you use the extensive data they are based on as to how useful they are for you and clients. This course uses evidence-based dietary assessment techniques, easily accessed meal evaluation apps and a non-diet based approach along with coaching for wellbeing strategies. You will learn to use a collaborative framework that supports clients in making their own informed decision about their lifestyle choices, after all we know that it takes more than information to change eating habits permanently. You will be able to assist clients in creating charts and graphs on their diet and then making improvements, and the course offers you numerous templates to assist this change process. The benefit of a nutrition course like this for PTs is that you stay within your scope of practice, yet you can work with your clients in a food coaching capacity by using approved means of analysis and applications to aid clients in creating improved meals, eating habits and health.

Develop Your Business Vision & Mantra: From Idea to Market Place
In this small group session you'll develop your business vision and create your compelling vision mantra (your message), you'll never stutter or stumble over 'what do you do"? questions again. You'll gain clarity of how to ensure that what you are offering
is what clients want through a compelling business and personal narrative. Ensure you are connecting with your 'tribe' and know you're offering what it is they want! You will arrive at:
- Identifying the key areas of creating a coaching business
- Creating your unique business vision
- Knowing your unique service
- Identifying the characteristics and mindset of your ideal client
- Creating your awesome business mantra so you can explain your business and personal narrative, and coaching value

In sharing actual client case studies with other coaches you may be able to gain insights into areas in the case that develop your awareness of methods to invoke inquiry, better identify challenges, manage your communication of perspective option, express insights, identify ‘white noise’ versus significant issues. You might also gain insight into other actions and alternative suggestions, options, resolutions not provided to the client. You might also see other processes to enhance client self-discovery and competence, or ways to challenge their viewpoints and beliefs, as well as ways to engage the client more deeply, and express concerns bravely for the benefit of the client.
